A boutique clinic, built on deep roots
The Eye Clinic Wellington opened in mid-2025 in temporary accommodation, and moved into its purpose-built home in May 2026. Having worked in a long-standing group practice with more than 50 years of Wellington eye-care heritage, Dr James Leong saw the need for a boutique clinic with a clear character — one that's practical, knowledgeable, empathetic and ethical.
His vision was a simple one: a boutique practice where everything you need is right there in one calm space — advanced technology, specialist expertise and the time to use them well — without being sent across town between appointments.
We adopt only evidence-based technology, and only where it genuinely benefits patients. Our approach is pragmatic, forward-thinking and always centred on you — not on the latest trend or the busiest schedule.
